In November 2025, we went on a repeat cruise from Barcelona to Cape Town. Of course much of our time was spent out on deck looking for wildlife. It was slow at times with sightings of plenty of Cory’s Shearwater but little else. Excursions ashore in Cadiz Spain and Lanzarote were good for birds probably stopping off on their trips to warmer climes for winter. Below is some of the wildlife seen, some at sea and some inland, especially in Walvis Bay and South Africa, where we visited the West Coast National Park and known good spots in the Paarl area.
