Wildlife Photos from Around the World

By Judi Helsby

In 2016 we went on a birding trip to Madagascar. We were shocked to see how much of the island has been slashed and burnt although there are still areas preserved for the wildlife. Madagascar certainly has many endemic birds, animals and reptiles. The trip was at times quite challenging, relying on local guides and spotters to find the wildlife for us. We frequently had to climb up or down steep slopes to find some of the birds, whilst the fascinating lemurs were easier to spot, as were the brightly coloured chameleons.

Here is a selection of photos of some of the wildlife we saw. Click on any photo for a larger view. Enjoy.
